This is not a photocopied or a muddled OCR edition of an old book. It is clear and easy to read on Kindle. I chose this to boost my poor French. Kindle is a good place to read a 19th century book in French because of Kindles built-in dictionaries. For someone practicing their French Dumas is easier to read than say Victor Hugo who is prone to paragrap-long sentences filled with nested subjective clauses that do not reveal the subject until the very end. Dumas is also a better storyteller. He keeps things moving with many surprising twists. The plot is much more complicated than just the prison escape I remember from the movies. He also makes a lot of social commentary which still rings true today.Product details
